My Mother Died – Can I Hold a Zoom Funeral?

Uncategorized Aug 12, 2020

Having sat through hundreds of hours of Zoom meetings, I never thought the program would be used to hold virtual memorial gatherings, but that is what has arisen because of Covid-19.

The Zoom Funeral is separate and apart from the traditional funeral, with the Funeral Home handling the in-person service and burial.  The online memorial is customized to the deceased’s family and reflects their spiritual preference. Some elements that are included are:

  • Welcome Message
  • Photo Slideshow
  • Prayers
  • Songs or Hymns
  • Scripture readings
  • Eulogy
  • Tributes
  • Other messages and remembrances.

The program for the virtual funeral is designed so that attendees simply click a link and connect from any internet-enabled computer or mobile device. The service can also be live streamed on Facebook or YouTube but can be viewed by invitation only. If you wish to live stream the memorial service that is being held in a more traditional setting, that can also be handled.

At Estate Connection, we realize that many family members who lose a loved one are struggling with how to handle the funeral given the AHS COVID 19 restrictions. If you need help managing an estate or coordinating a Zoom Funeral contact Estate Connection Law Office – We are here to help.
